Hi, I’m Mayank — and The Calorie Curry started with a craving.

Not just for food, but for the experience that comes with restaurant dining. The kind where the lighting is soft, the plating is beautiful, and the first bite makes you pause for a moment.

I still remember coming home after a dinner at a restaurant, replaying the dish in my head. The glaze on the appetizer. The balance of spices in the curry. The smoothness of the sauce. Instead of just wishing I could taste it again, I decided to try recreating it in my own kitchen.

The first attempt? Not even close.

The sauce was too thick. The seasoning felt off. And presentation? Let’s just say it didn’t look “restaurant-worthy.”

But something about the challenge excited me.

So I tried again. And again.

By the fourth attempt, when my family said, “This tastes just like the restaurant,” I felt something shift. That moment sparked something bigger than just cooking — it sparked curiosity.

That’s when I realized something powerful:
Restaurant-quality food isn’t magic. It’s technique, balance, patience, and understanding flavors.

Over time, my kitchen turned into my personal world tour. I began recreating global dishes — creamy Italian pastas, bold Asian-style sauces, comforting American classics, rich Indian curries, elegant five-star desserts, and refreshing tropical drinks.

Friends started asking for recipes.
Family began requesting “that restaurant-style dish” again.

And slowly, The Calorie Curry was born.
